Chrissy's Journey

My first painted scarf

In 2014-15, I kept praying for God to show me the path to painting. Holy Spirit provided me with a clear vision of dying a square scarf while I was in art class in high school. I initially thought it was impossible to relearn those skills as an adult and incredibly impossible to apply them to other kinds of designs.

I joined a silk painting group and prayed for God to guide my hand. This yellow silk scarf is the very first scarf I designed.

It is now a bit tattered and worn, but it's even more beautiful to me despite it.  It's kinda like God's love for me.  He knows my pain, has seen me through every struggle, and though I am sometimes a complete mess, He loves me all the more for it.

Today I looked at this scarf, and an overwhelming emotion washed over me when I noticed a detail I've never seen in it before. I saw a sacred heart in the center that literally revealed before my own eyes just how much God loves me. I cried out with such thankfulness to Him for this!

God loves me, and He loves you. Reach out to God because He is right there, waiting for you.
